Sheer, Lined and Blackout curtains, and Roman blinds, embroidered in the house and stitched to the inch of your window: a 7 or 9 ft drop, or any length.
The cloth

It hangs in the sun every day, and the sun is harder on cloth than any wash: weak yarn thins, cheap dye fades, a light hem lets the folds sag. Every dye is tested against the light, and a weight is sewn into every hem so the folds fall straight.

The judgement
Four things a curtain is judged on, to help you choose the right curtains for you.
Light
What the cloth does with the sun: lets it in softened, or holds it out.
Sheers that soften it without darkening the room; linings that hold it out; Blackout for a bedroom(LO).
Fullness
How much cloth is gathered into the width of the window. Skimp on it and a curtain hangs flat and looks bought.
Two and a half times the width for a Sheer, twice for a Lined curtain(LO).
Drop
Where it ends. A standard length stops short or drags on the floor.
Cut to your window, to clear the floor or to break on it, as you choose.
Fall
How it hangs, and how it comes back. A weighted hem falls straight and finds its folds again after the wind.

04 — Hotel Blackout
Hotel Blackout(LO)
Comfort and privacy in one: a room that stays dark at noon and quieter at night, for a restful stay. Made room by room from your drawings, each pair labelled with its room number, and fitted to close the edges where light slips past a cloth. Hang it behind our Voile on a double track: a Sheer by day, Blackout by night. Flame-retardant cloth can be had for a property that needs it. Ask us.
